Build a BoxPlayer media library: scan, match, and correct metadata
A media library turns folders of movies, series, and anime into a poster wall you can browse. A focused folder structure and clear names greatly improve metadata matching.

Scan only media folders
Choose the specific folders that contain movies, TV shows, or anime. Do not include download caches, temporary files, or book folders in a video-library scan.

Review unmatched items first
After the scan, look at items that could not be matched. Leave uncertain items unmatched instead of forcing a poster that belongs to a different title.

Correct ambiguous titles
For similar names, different release years, or multiple editions, rematch using the real title, year, season, and episode details. Confirm that the poster and description belong to the playable file.

Use library views to keep it useful
Return through recently added, continue watching, year, rating, or playlists. The library changes its index, not your original files, unless you explicitly run a file-organization action.
